How the Great Migration Became a Tradition

College Daze Great Migration tradition is part of the larger story of how College Daze turns HBCU student culture into creative infrastructure.

The original Great Migration was simply us moving in large numbers from a basketball game to the STU.

Then the phrase grew. Whenever students traveled together in a visible wave, we called it the Great Migration. Later it became connected to the final week of class and the parties hosted across campus culture. We did not invent collective movement. We noticed it, named it, and gave people language to recognize themselves inside it.

Branding can preserve behavior

A good name does not manufacture community. It makes an existing pattern easier to remember, repeat, and pass down. That is how an ordinary route becomes ritual.

Saint saw a procession. Daisy knew it was just everybody going together. B-Loved understood both: aspiration often begins by paying close enough attention to name what people already love.
