OUR ORIGIN
IT STARTED WITH STUDENTS PAYING ATTENTION.
While B Loved was a student at North Carolina A&T, he started documenting his college experience on film. This was during COVID, when campus life felt uncertain and the moments that made college feel real were easy to lose.
Then the yearbook lost its funding. Once he heard it was not going to happen, B Loved organized a group of photographers to help. They took student headshots in the library and used the photographs they had collected throughout the year to help tell the story of that class.
That experience made something clear. Preserving student life could not depend on one photographer being in every room. Almost every student already walked onto campus with a camera in their pocket. The opportunity was to give students a simple way to contribute what they were already capturing.

DAZE REPORTERS
THE CULTURE NEEDED ITS OWN REPORTERS.
DAZE organized photographers who could document what was happening across campus. We called them DAZE reporters.
They captured the parties, the activations, the fashion, the service, the conversations and the everyday moments happening between the official moments. Students also began sending in photographs from their own phones. Together, those images gave birth to a digital platform where students could document their own stories.

THE LORE OF B LOVED
B LOVED IS A PERSON, A CHARACTER AND A MANTLE.
B Loved began as the founder identity at the center of College Daze. He was the student paying attention, bringing people together and making room for ideas that did not fit inside the usual campus boxes.
As the DAZE universe grew, B Loved became bigger than one face. The name came to represent participation, creativity, rebellion, service and belonging. B Loved is the person willing to make the moment happen, document it and leave something useful behind for the people coming next.
In one chapter of the lore, B Loved went missing after May 2023. The disappearance was not the end of the story. It asked a bigger question. What happens when a culture can no longer depend on one person to carry it?
The answer is the heart of the whole world we are building. Everybody is B Loved.

FROM MOMENTS TO MEMORY
THE AGGIE ARCHIVES MADE THE IDEA LAST.
Working with the library taught us that the picture is only one part of an archive. The names, dates, locations, organizations, social accounts and stories connected to a picture are what help future generations understand what they are looking at.
The Aggie Archives became our way of documenting college life from the point of view of the students, pre and post COVID. It is not only a collection of professional event photography. It is a record created by the people who were actually there.
A photograph that feels regular today could become an important piece of history years from now.

B Loved lives inside a larger cast and mythology that includes Saint, Zenith, Jax, Dr. Pepper, Chancellor, The Big 5 and Heaven. Each one helps tell another part of the world.

DAZE connects HBCU culture to life after graduation through community, leadership, creative opportunity and archival memory. What started at North Carolina A&T can become a model for other campuses, libraries and cities.
We are building a cultural blueprint shaped by students, carried by alumni and strong enough to outlive any one person.
